Federico da Montefeltro’s Studiolo hides, under its trompe-l’œil intarsia, the plan of a Città Ideale never built.
Urbino is the masterpiece of the late Renaissance: Federico da Montefeltro, humanist duke, built here a Palazzo Ducale described as "a city in the shape of a palace". Raphael was born here in 1483. Between Casa Raffaello, the Palazzo Ducale and Fortezza Albornoz, seven fragments of the Città Ideale await reassembly.

Urbino, the ideal court
Federico III da Montefeltro (1422-1482), condottiere and duke of Urbino, drew to his court Piero della Francesca, Francesco di Giorgio Martini, Luciano Laurana. His Palazzo Ducale, begun around 1454, is one of the most accomplished of the Quattrocento. His Studiolo, a windowless chamber of illusionistic intarsia, remains an unmatched masterpiece of perspective.
Raffaello Sanzio, born in Urbino in 1483, trained here before Perugia and Rome. The city, perched on two hills, preserves Casa Raffaello, the Oratorio di San Giovanni and the 15th-century Fortezza Albornoz overlooking the whole Montefeltro countryside.

At each stop, open your phone camera: an augmented reality character appears on the façade and speaks your language. Hunt the clue — it materializes as golden letters on the real wall or floats in front of you. When you find it, the phone vibrates, an AR chest opens and reveals your answer fragment. 8 stops, 8 clues to find with the camera, 1 final code.
The stops on your route are a surprise. You'll discover them one by one, guided by your phone, starting from the meeting point.
