Palmanova, Renaissance geometry
Founded on 7 October 1593, anniversary of the victory at Lepanto, by the Republic of Venice, Palmanova was to guard the eastern border against Ottomans and Habsburgs. Its shape: a perfect nine-pointed star set within a double ring of bastions, three monumental gates and a central hexagonal square.
Designed by Giulio Savorgnan and perfected by Vincenzo Scamozzi, a disciple of Palladio, it is considered the purest Renaissance ideal city. UNESCO-listed in 2017 within the 'Venetian Works of Defence' series, it remains oddly inhabited, discreet and out of time.

At each stop, open your phone camera: an augmented reality character appears on the façade and speaks your language. Hunt the clue — it materializes as golden letters on the real wall or floats in front of you. When you find it, the phone vibrates, an AR chest opens and reveals your answer fragment. 8 stops, 8 clues to find with the camera, 1 final code.
The stops on your route are a surprise. You'll discover them one by one, guided by your phone, starting from the meeting point.
