San Sebastián has the highest concentration of Michelin stars per square metre in the world. But before the starred chefs, there were the fishermen of the Parte Vieja, the secret gastronomic societies and the bar counters where recipes were invented with whatever the sea chose to give.

The secrets of the world's greatest table
Before becoming the gastronomic capital of the world, San Sebastián was a whaling port. From the 12th century, Basque fishermen sailed the Atlantic as far as Newfoundland. Dried cod, txakoli wine and canned fish forged the city's culinary identity.
In the 19th century, txokos were born — exclusively male gastronomic societies where men gathered to cook together. These private clubs, some of which still exist, are the direct ancestors of the Basque culinary revolution of the 1970s.
The pintxo — that morsel placed on a piece of bread, held with a toothpick — was born in the bars of the Parte Vieja. What seems simple is actually the fruit of centuries of maritime tradition, competition between bars and a keen sense of community.

At each stop, open your phone camera: an augmented reality character appears on the façade and speaks your language. Hunt the clue — it materializes as golden letters on the real wall or floats in front of you. When you find it, the phone vibrates, an AR chest opens and reveals your answer fragment. 8 stops, 8 clues to find with the camera, 1 final code.
The stops on your route are a surprise. You'll discover them one by one, guided by your phone, starting from the meeting point.
