Montluc under the Gestapo's Yoke
Montluc Prison, initially a military prison, was requisitioned by the Lyon Gestapo in February 1943. Under the direct authority of Klaus Barbie, the local Gestapo chief, it became a place of horror and transit for over 10,000 people.
