Eight guilds, one lost trade seal
Founded in 1461 by Mehmed II, the Grand Bazaar has 4,000 shops and 61 covered streets.
Each guild — goldsmiths, dyers, spice merchants, jewellers, tanners, armourers, weavers, ceramicists — occupied a dedicated street and bore a trade seal carved in stone. Eight of these seals disappeared in the 1894 earthquake. Find them in the maze of 61 covered streets.

The beating heart of the Empire
In 1461, Mehmed II built two bedesten (fortified covered markets) to centralise trade in the new capital. Around them, hans (caravanserais) hosted merchants from the Silk Road. Over three centuries, the bazaar expanded to 61 streets, 4,000 shops and 22 gates.
Each street bears the name of its guild: Kuyumcular (goldsmiths), Halıcılar (carpets), Kavaflar (shoes). Seals carved in the keystones guaranteed the quality of goods. The 1894 earthquake and the 1954 fire destroyed several — but not all.

At each stop, open your phone camera: an augmented reality character appears on the façade and speaks your language. Hunt the clue — it materializes as golden letters on the real wall or floats in front of you. When you find it, the phone vibrates, an AR chest opens and reveals your answer fragment. 8 stops, 8 clues to find with the camera, 1 final code.
The stops on your route are a surprise. You'll discover them one by one, guided by your phone, starting from the meeting point.
