This imposing 6.5-meter bronze work, inaugurated by President Émile Loubet, commemorates the Battle of Alesia in 52 BC. It depicts Vercingetorix on horseback, overlooking the archaeological site of MuséoParc Alésia. It is here, facing this emblematic figure of Gallic resistance, that you receive your first instructions to uncover the secrets of the siege and understand the strategies of both camps.
