Your quest for Sedona's red Eldorado begins in Uptown Sedona, near the Sedona Arts Center. This historic building, founded in 1958 by pioneering artists like Nasr Nassar and Virginia 'Jinny' Day in a former public high school from 1926, has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1994. Its galleries and workshops, covering 557 m², reflect the local artistic fervor from the 1950s onwards. It is here that the first clues to Sedona's hidden fortune were concealed, amidst the works and sketches of the masters who shaped Arizona's cultural identity.
