Monte Cristi becomes in 1895 the secret headquarters of the Cuban revolution. José Martí meets Máximo Gómez there to finalize the invasion of Cuba. Flag Bay offers a discreet port, away from Spanish eyes, where weapons and volunteers from the United States and Europe converge.
